IC vs OOC This standard rule applies: Don't mix the two. OOC does not equal IC and IC does not equal OOC. That said, problems and drama occurring in-game does not mean a player has a problem with you as a writer; just your character which is perfectly realistic in the grand scheme of things. Not everyone gets along after all, but please be amicable when dealing with writers that may have potentially wronged you or have rubbed you the wrong way.
JOURNALS & AIM AIM is not required, but if you want to use it, you can. Journal names can be either OOC or IC, depending on how you like to name your journals, so long as they aren't riddled with x's, o's, and underscores. There are plenty names out there to be found that haven't been deleted and purged.
At this time, there is no character limit, but please only considering taking on another character if you have the time/energy to play them. If we find members are just picking up characters and leaving them out to dry, a limit will be put in place.
PLOTS & ACTIVITY We do realize life can be a pain in the rear and that does tend to drive activity (or lack thereof) at times. Activity doesn't have to be outlandish, but there are a few things set in place so everyone is aware of them (assuming they read the rules) beforehand.
• Activity Checks will be done during the last weekend of the month and can be met by the following: a thread, thread start, or continuous replies to a thread no more than a month old (in some cases, we may extend this depending on the thread itself); a significant journal entry or other entry of substance. Lyrics, pictures, etc., do not count.
• If a hiatus is needed, please feel free to let the mods know so we can put your character and checks on hold. If a month goes by without some sort of word, we will, however, drop your character with the opportunity to reapply.
• Please mark your threads with warnings appropriate to the content. There are sure to be a few things that may or may not fly with others given the general premise of the game, so give them a quick heads up before they stumble right on into it. Any questionable plots or those that will affect the game overall need to be cleared with the mod (via Private Message or Dropbox).
• Please keep threads with explicit content (if you want to be frank, smut or something like it) between characters in personal journals/customs. Do not post them in the main community, and should a thread turn that direction, fade to black and continue it elsewhere.
• Use the following header when posting threads/scenes:
ANGELS & DEMONS All Angels or Demons must have a namesake that can be found through online search. To narrow the spectrum, Christian-based Theology is the generally used, although we will not turn down a character if they happen to be a demon (in particular) from another vein of belief. As long as they have a name and limitations on powers while they are walking among mortals, we're good; there are no restrictions on numbers. Wikipedia has a few lists which I've linked here:
